Our BIG Little man turned 3 on December 19th. I know I have said this time and time again, but it is so hard to believe how fast time goes. Garrett has been in our lives for 3 years now and we couldn't be happier that God chose us for his Mommy and Daddy.
I am proud to say by 3 years old, Garrett is potty trained, can recite his meal time and bedtime prayers, is pretty mannerly("please, thank you, and no thank yous" all the time), has a fabulous memory, is creative, LOVES cars and trains, knows all of his letters, colors, most shapes, and so much more! It seems like he impresses me and makes me laugh everyday with something new. Garrett is still a bit shy and it takes him a little time to warm up. He gets "scared" easily, but is a physically tough boy. Garrett can be very independent, but other times likes to have Mommy or Daddy close by for help. He could entertain himself with two hot wheel cars for an entire day. He still likes to climb and if there is a way to connect or hook things together, he will figure it out. We are lucky that Garrett did not or has not had a bad case of the "terrible twos" or tantrums. Trust me, he is not perfect and he has his times, but for the most part, we can reason with him and he doesn't give us too much trouble. Garrett probably cries the most when it is time to go to bed....."just one more Bob the Builder" is what he normally begs for. Regardless of his knowledge, behaviors(good or bad), personality traits, etc., we LOVE him just the way he is:)

Garrett will always hold a special place in our hearts....he is the reason Kevin and I got the best "job" ever....being a parent. Because of Garrett, I became a MOMMY and Kev became a DADDY! Thank you BUB:) We look forward to many many more birthdays to celebrate YOU!

Later that night, I helped Garrett and Kiley make up some food for the reindeer that would be coming soon! They seemed to enjoy it and it was easy:) Oats, glitter, and a cute little poem! |
