On Garrett's actual birthday, we went to Church, ate breakfast at Denny's with Memaw and Papa, visited Grandma and Granddad, took a nap, then topped the day off with dinner at Hacienda(Garrett's choice)!
Denny's has always been a favorite of my boys and this is a restaurant we visit every so often after Church on Sundays. Of course, Memaw and Papa insisted that we must go on this particular Sunday since it was Bub's b-day. And, you will see in the pictures, they HAD to have special baseball cups filled with chocolate milk!
After Denny's, we went to see Grandma and Granddad Hamilton. Unfortunately, this visit was at the hospital. Granddad was admitted a few days before Garrett's birthday and I know Granddad and Grandma were very sad to miss Garrett's birthday party. But, after a few tests, one scare, about 5 days, and one stint later, Granddad is as good as new!! Granddad was released to go home just a few days before Christmas. I would have to say that him being home, feeling better, and picture proof of a much healthier artery around the heart was the best Christmas gift!!! We are so thankful for our GRANDDAD!!
After our visit with Grandma and Granddad, the boys fell asleep on the way home. When they woke up, we went to eat dinner at Hacienda. Garrett chose Hacienda, and it just so happens this is one of the places where they come out and sing to you on your birthday. When they came out to sing to Garrett, he just smiled:)
