In early July, we took a trip to South Carolina. Garrett and Grant's cousins(Lilly and Luke), Aunt Andi, and Uncle Matt live there. Matt is in the Air Force and they are stationed at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina. We made the long drive down on a Friday when Kevin got off work and we spent 4 days with the Brown Family! Aunt Britt and Lala went along with us. We all had a wonderful time. Andi, Matt, Lilly and Luke were fabulous hosts. We enjoyed swimming at the neighbor's pool, going to dinner, playing baseball outside, running through sprinklers, going to the beach, going to the fireworks, doing our own fireworks at the house, touring the base and watching jets, etc. However, it was really more of the "small" things that the kids really seemed to enjoy. For example, the kids loved taking baths together, playing in their pajamas at night, eating breakfast together, playing in Lilly's bedroom, jumping on the air mattress, spraying each other with water guns, etc.
Regardless of the plans, we always appreciate the time we have with family. We were happy to finally get a chance to visit the Brown Family at their house! We're not sure if we will make it back to Sumter again before they move to their next destination. We had a great vacation!
